Blood Brothers
by Rick Acker
Grand Rapids: Kregel, 2008, 359 pp., tradepaper.
Blood Brothers is the sequel to
Dead Man's Rule, a thriller that introduced us to lawyer Ben Corbin. In the aftermath of his success, Ben is taking life easy until he gets caught up in a feud between two brothers battling over control of a pharmaceutical company they founded. The brothers believe they have discovered an incredible new drug capable of enhancing strength and brain function, and millions--maybe billions--are at stake. Ben and his wife Noelle end up trying to figure out what's happening from Chicago to Norway, with life-threatening results as the court case gets ugly.
Rick Acker has hit upon a formula of legal intrigue and suspense that will hopefully result in more books taking us into the world of corporate law through the eyes of Ben Corbin and those close to him.
Fans of John Grisham will enjoy
Blood Brothers.
