I'm the unconditional Christian. I'm not a conditional Christian. I started into Jesus with a conditional concept that I had to do these things and that thing, but since then the Spirit has given me the revelation and made it very clear to me that Jesus, it's Him and Him crucified and that's really all about unconditional love. I serve love, and love is unconditional. It's so unconditional that when Christ come up from the earth He had the keys to the kingdom of hell and to death and so Satan got saved, everybody's cool with God now and you ain't got nothing to worry about because we're all in.I can't really add to much to that, except to say that it's disappointing. I listened to some Grand Funk back in the day, and have a couple of his post-conversion CDs. Hopefully he'll rely less on "the Spirit" and more on the Word of God as he continues his spiritual journey.
Hmmm...well I, for one, was right with him up til the "satan got saved" part.
So maybe he's a universalist...that doesn't mean he didn't make a dang good point about the Cross is all about unconditional love, and that salvation is about our loving through and because of unconditional love. :)
Amy, you're right about the good point, but I probably wouldn't have mentioned this if he hadn't blundered on.
Ah yes, the ages-old battle of Spirit vs. Word, Christ vs. Paul. It's really too bad that God is schizophrenic in the eyes of so many "christians" (lower case intended).
